Preferred Packaging, a division of C-P Flexible Packaging, has launched the newest generation of GreenStream™ fiber trays for packaged meals. Made from natural bagasse fibers, GreenStream™ multi-compartment trays are designed to seal with barrier or breathable lidding films for refrigerated or frozen food applications.
These new fiber trays will be on display in Booth #211 at the Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo in San Antonio, Texas, August 25–28, 2025.
Also featured will be Preferred Packaging’s new all-electric IDX 140 automated sealing machine, which seals up to 35 trays per minute. With convenient features such as inline printing, an automatic tray sensor, and easily adjustable speed and dwell time settings, this user-friendly machine delivers a low-maintenance solution for maximizing efficiency with limited labor resources.
“We focus on turnkey packaging solutions for Meals on Wheels chapters aiming to lower costs and improve efficiency with higher output and better seals,” said Chadd Floria, General Manager of Preferred Packaging. “Our new all-electric sealing machine is a low-maintenance option designed for senior meal delivery programs with limited staff. Plus, our new fiber trays allow Meals on Wheels chapters to provide meal options in a convenient format with minimal landfill impact.”
The new GreenStream™ fiber trays include a peelable liner with a tab for easy removal when pursuing composting or recycling. The PFAS-free trays provide strength, oil resistance, and moisture resistance with no leaking or discoloration.
In addition, Preferred Packaging offers Affirm™ lidding films to ensure best-in-class seal integrity and prevent leaks, as well as a complete portfolio of OmniSeal™ high-efficiency sealing equipment designed to accommodate a wide range of production volumes and budgets.
