Preferred Packaging Showcases Fiber Trays & Electric Sealers at SNA 2025

We’re introducing recyclable fiber trays and an electric automated sealing machine at the 2025 School Nutrition Association Annual National Conference.

Preferred Packaging is excited to launched GreenStream™ fiber trays for packaged meals. Made from natural bagasse fibers, GreenStream™ multi-compartment fiber trays are compostable and curbside recyclable in municipalities with paper recycling collection systems. These new fiber trays are on display in Booth #522 at the School Nutrition Association Annual National Conference in San Antonio, Texas on July 13-15, 2025.

Also on display is Preferred Packaging’s new all-electric IDX 140 automated sealing machine, which seals up to 35 trays per minute. With convenient features such as inline printing and an automatic tray sensor, as well as easily adjustable speed and dwell time settings, this user-friendly machine provides a low-maintenance solution for reducing labor costs and maximizing efficiency.

GreenStream™ fiber trays includes a peelable liner designed with a tab for easy removal when composting or recycling the tray. The PFAS-free tray also provides strength, oil resistance and moisture resistance with no leaking or discoloration.
